Just another reminder:  Your Europe map quiz is October 7 - 9th.  See the study for details.  

You have now completed the first six weeks of the course and it is time for your first big exam. Please spend time this week preparing for the exam. 

Assignments:

• Read the assignment above.
• 1st Exam-   The first exam will cover reading material from the Introductory chapter in your text book and the atlas.  Be sure to review ideas, terms and concepts from the previous assignments. Study the maps and  photos. If you completed the atlas exercise a few weeks ago you should be able to answer atlas-based questions easily. To help, you will find a list of items in the study guide which you must know for the first exam.  

Also consider these major topics and be prepared to answer questions about them:

•  Spatial perspective

•  Regional geography 

•  World realms

•  Systematic vs Regional geography

•  Professional Geography

Prepare for an exam that includes multiple choice and T/F responses. Be sure to have your Atlas nearby and be prepared to answer at least 10 questions from it. 

The exam will be available through Pipeline between September 30 at noon and October 2nd at midnight.  You will have one hour to take the exam. I will send you a separate e-mail with the verification code.  Good luck!
