    After studying the regional geography of Russia, you should be able to:

1. Understand the overall climatic pattern of this realm.
2. Map describe the landscapes of Russia's eight physiographic regions.
3. Grasp the basic historical evolution of the realm.
4. Understand Russia's cultural-geographic mosaic especially various ethnic representations throughout its internal republics.
5. Map and describe the leading functions of the realms four major regions.
6. Recognize Russia's geopolitical role especially during the current problems with Afghanistan.
